As a Senior Backend Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:
Architecting and building scalable web services and ETL pipelines that can efficiently manage over 10,000 transactions per second.
Collaborating closely with other engineering teams for optimizing existing systems and integrating new technologies.
Developing comprehensive monitoring, testing, and deployment strategies for the company’s mission-critical services.
Maintaining high standards of the engineering culture while contributing to recruiting and onboarding new team members.
Working with product management, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity on technical concepts and project objectives.
Engaging in the resolution of project issues collaboratively and swiftly.
Communicating internally about ongoing projects and their significance both within and outside the organization.
To be considered for the position, candidates should have:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, particularly within web services and ETL systems.
Proven expertise in scaling high-volume, data-intensive systems.
Proficiency in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud architectures.
Familiarity with containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
A solid understanding of the primary technology stack, which includes Typescript, MongoDB, Go, and Python. While mastery of these languages is not strictly required, candidates should have enough familiarity to adapt quickly.
Prior experience designing commercial software products, either SaaS or on-premises, that serve third-party customers.
Experience working in early-stage technology companies, specifically in the B2B SaaS sector.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be advantageous:
Extensive experience working with MongoDB and other data storage solutions.
Familiarity or experience with AI/ML concepts, specifically in large language models (LLMs) and model tuning.
Background or relevant experience in infosec and cybersecurity, including red teaming concepts.
Knowledge of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) and commercial SDLC security toolsets, such as SCA (Software Composition Analysis), DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing), and SAST (Static Application Security Testing).
