Job Responsibilities

In the role of a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will undertake various critical tasks to enhance the MapTiler web experience. Your key responsibilities include:

• Designing high-performance landing pages: You will lead the UX/UI design initiatives for marketing landing pages, with a focus on optimizing user journeys, increasing conversion rates, and integrating interactive elements.

• End-to-end design process ownership: Manage the complete design cycle for website enhancements, transitioning static brand assets into user-friendly digital interfaces that are responsive and engaging.

• Analyzing user data: Conduct analysis through reviewing heat maps, user research, screen recordings, and usability testing to inform design decisions and improvements.

• Maintaining the design system: Take ownership of the site’s design system within Figma, ensuring consistency and functionality in all designs.

• Creating UI mockups and prototypes: Develop high-fidelity UI mockups and interactive prototypes to showcase new features during launch campaigns and for stakeholder reviews.

• Interpreting feedback effectively: Efficiently interpret user feedback, allowing for quick iterations and delivery of polished final assets.

• Technical storytelling: Exhibit the ability to distill complex concepts (like vector tiles and geocoding) into engaging and easily understandable web content.

• Information Architecture (IA): Organize MapTiler’s extensive technical offerings into cohesive site maps that enhance user navigation and minimize friction.

Required Skills and Experience

To be considered for this senior position, candidates must demonstrate a robust set of skills and a strong portfolio:

• Five or more years of experience in UX/UI design with a senior perspective that prioritizes user experience and functional logic over mere aesthetics.

• Proficiency in Figma: Possess advanced skills in Figma, including knowledge of auto layout, components, and design systems, to support the development team's implementation of designs.

• Conversion-focused portfolio: A portfolio that exemplifies how design decisions have directly influenced user behaviors, such as sign-ups or interactions.

  

• Deep understanding of UX principles: A strong grasp of user behavior, psychology, and conversion-driven design strategies that can translate brand guidelines into effective digital interfaces.

• Excellent communication abilities: Strong skills in conveying design rationale clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.

• Attention to detail: A methodical approach to the design handoff process, focusing on the pixel-perfect consistency of design elements such as padding, margins, and typography.
