Job Responsibilities

Using Revit software to build digital models based on layouts provided by Project Layout Designers, ensuring compliance with Miller Electric standards.
Gaining a thorough understanding of the conduit systems, equipment types, and other relevant electrical components.
Configuring various attributes such as View Ranges and View Templates to generate effective visuals for floor plans and models.
Accurately modeling conduit, taking into consideration bends, offsets, and routing to junction boxes and various electrical panels.
Labeling conduits and entering necessary parameters such as Conduit ID and Panel Name.
Creating and maintaining schedules in Revit for different equipment types, which will be essential for fabrication and field operations.
Conducting clash detection using software such as Navisworks to identify and address potential spatial conflicts among installed systems.
Ensuring documentation and trackers related to project progress are maintained.
Collaborating with prefab and construction teams to provide accurate model data.

Required Skills

Miller Electric seeks candidates with the following qualifications:

A basic working knowledge of BIM software, particularly Revit.
Experience or exposure to commercial electrical construction or drafting, whether through field or academic channels.
Familiarity with electrical components and systems, alongside a decent understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) compliance is preferred.
