Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, the incumbent will be pivotal in fortifying the cybersecurity network infrastructure. The key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise security technologies, such as Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Secure Web Gateways (SWG).

• Monitoring security technologies to safeguard the IT infrastructure from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and risks.

• Conducting comprehensive security assessments and threat modeling to identify weaknesses in architectural frameworks, and informing necessary infrastructure upgrades.

• Designing and enforcing advanced security policies that align with the company's global goals.

• Acting as a technical mentor for junior engineers, fostering a culture of security awareness and technical excellence.

• Leading the response to complex security incidents and participating in forensic analysis and remediation strategies.

• Staying abreast of emerging security trends and integrating automation tools to enhance security operations.

Required Skills

Candidates for this role should possess specialized expertise in various relevant domains. The primary requirements are:

• In-depth knowledge of network security technologies, particularly Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco), SD-WAN, and Secure Web Gateways (Zscaler).

• Experience with implementing security frameworks like NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001.

  

• Mastery of complex networking protocols and hybrid-cloud connectivity.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-pressure security situations.

• Strong communication skills, able to present complex security risks to non-technical stakeholders, including executives.

• Collaboration skills to work efficiently with cross-functional teams.

Additionally, preferred qualifications include:

• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in network security, specifically in architecting security tools and managing complex incident responses in an enterprise setting.

• Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCIE Security, or PCNSE) are highly desired.

Compensation Details

The pay range for the Senior Network Security Engineer position is competitive, reflecting various factors impacting compensation decisions. The current salary range is between $116,300.00 and $178,400.00 annually. It’s important to note that compensation can vary depending on skills, experience, and business needs, with individuals typically not hired at the upper limit of the range.
