  • Coordinating with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) Technical and Commodities teams on equipment issues that arise in service.
  • Evaluating technical defects in equipment that necessitate material demand from Naval Stores and confirming necessary requirements.
  • Advising the Commodities team and Purchasing on future equipment acquisitions and assisting engineering teams with defect investigations.
  • Maintaining and updating technical documentation according to design changes as needed.
  • Collaborating with project and design teams concerning equipment needs for future generations of Nuclear Steam Raising Plant (NSRP).

Required Qualifications & Skills

To qualify for this role, applicants should have:

  • Certification as a Royal Navy Category A or B Nuclear Watch Keeper or possess a relevant degree/experience in mechanical or electrical design.
  • Previous experience in mechanical and electrical system engineering, particularly in fault-finding and rectification.

  • Understanding of onboard mechanical and electrical system engineering documentation and procedural norms.
