Assisting AUSAs with trial preparations, compiling trial notebooks, and preparing jury instructions.
Opening and maintaining organized case files, including calendar management for active cases.
Handling all aspects of travel logistics according to Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and guidelines set by the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Sorting incoming and preparing outgoing mail while ensuring effective communication through phone and written correspondence.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet certain requirements and possess key skills:
A paralegal certificate, JD, or enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of legal education.
One year of legal training or experience is ideal, but at least two years of college education may substitute for the paralegal certificate.
