Course Management: Establishing clear expectations within the course, including setting up terminal objectives and grading criteria, ensuring fairness and consistency in grading, and delivering timely feedback to students.
Additional Duties: Other responsibilities as assigned, conforming to all institutional policies and standards.
Candidates interested in this position must meet the following qualifications:
A Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher is required.
An unencumbered Compact licensure is mandatory, alongside an Illinois RN licensure to teach all courses.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching didactic nursing courses at a college or university level is required. Previous teaching experience in nursing didactic courses is essential.
Familiarity with online learning platforms, preferably Canvas, is an advantage.
Exceptional communication skills are necessary, as faculty members must facilitate discussions and provide guidance to students effectively.
Additional requirements based on state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
In alignment with national pay transparency laws, the compensation rate for this role ranges from $715 to $1,950 per earned credit hour.
