  • Liaising between Payroll and Accounting: Serve as the intermediary for both departments, supporting integration functions and resolving inquiries as they arise.

  • Auditing Benefits Data: Your role will also include verifying accuracy in benefit enrollments and premium deductions, adjusting payroll as necessary.

  • Processing Benefit Plan Invoices: Ensure the timely payment of monthly invoices while managing all administrative changes between plan participants and administrators.

  • Ensuring Compliance: This includes adherence to company policies and relevant regulations for benefit plans assigned to you.

  • Response to Employee Inquiries: Be prepared to address questions from employees relating to payroll and benefits, fostering strong communication throughout the organization.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, certain qualifications are required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is essential.
  • A professional certification such as CPP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is preferred.
  • You should have 5+ years of experience specifically in employee benefits administration and 4+ years in payroll administration, including retirement plan administration and HRIS systems.
  • Familiarity with Workday and OneSource Virtual is beneficial.
