The People Operations Associate will assume a variety of HR administrative and coordination tasks while directly supporting the Global People Officer. Key responsibilities include:
Supporting HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
Managing recruitment administration starting from requisition approval through to offer preparation.
Maintaining accurate employee records while ensuring compliance with HR policies within diverse legal frameworks.
Assisting with benefits administration and payroll coordination.
Supporting initiatives related to learning and development as well as employee engagement.
Coordinating internal HR communications and managing announcements or policy updates.
Furthermore, the associate will work on optimizing HR systems such as HRIS, tracking metrics, and identifying areas for improvement in operational processes.
This is a part-time role, estimated at about 20 hours per week, and can be performed remotely or based in one of the offices located in Boston, London, or Accra. Candidates can apply from anywhere in the GMT-5 to GMT time zones, with specific work hours to be confirmed based on the location of the selected candidate. The position may involve occasional travel to challenging environments in Africa and the Middle East, which may require adaptability and readiness to engage with diverse cultural contexts.
The position of People Operations Associate seeks candidates who meet the following criteria:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Organizational Design, or related fields.
At least 2+ years of applicable experience in an administrative or shared services support role.
Demonstrable experience with managing an international or global workforce, facilitating support across various time zones and language barriers.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
Candidates must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Prior experience of working remotely and collaborating with a distributed workforce is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with HR systems and platforms, especially HRIS, is preferred.
