Position Summary

The People Operations Specialist position is a critical backfill role that encompasses broader responsibilities within the realm of people operations. This full-time role involves managing the day-to-day administration of core HR systems and processes and spearheading projects that drive efficiency, compliance, and engagement throughout the People lifecycle. Reporting directly to the VP of People & Culture, this position offers a high level of visibility within the company and the chance to influence and enhance Panopto’s operations as it scales globally.

Key Responsibilities

People Lifecycle Administration

  • Own both onboarding and offboarding processes to provide a consistent and positive experience for all employees.
  • Lead the new-hire orientation to ensure that new team members are adequately set up for success.
  • Coordinate change management activities, including role changes, promotions, and exits.

Systems Administration & People Data

  • Act as the primary system administrator for HRIS and payroll platforms like TriNet and Deel.
  • Ensure data integrity through routine audits and reporting, while supporting position management and headcount tracking.

Compensation & Benefits Support

  • Conduct compensation benchmarking research and maintain relevant data.
  • Assist with annual compensation cycles, benefits enrollment, and employment verifications.
  • Collaborate with brokers and vendors to resolve benefit-related inquiries.

Process & Compliance

  • Maintain compliant employment records across various geographies while ensuring the timely processing of employment verifications and audits.
  • Provide support for visa/work authorization tracking as needed.

People Programs & Projects

  • Facilitate engagement surveys, manager feedback cycles, and various training programs.
  • Team up with People & Culture leadership on special projects aimed at improving overall efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field.
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in HR roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relational skills.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification is regarded as a plus.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) is required.
  • A proactive approach needed to handle confidential information and maintain professionalism.
  • Focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while adapting to pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
