Job Description

Role Objectives

The Quantitative Analyst will play a crucial role in designing algorithms and statistical modeling with a focus on sports betting. Candidates must have a keen interest in sports as well as strong analytical skills. The individual will enhance the performance and sophistication of Betclic’s betting products and trading systems by using quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Development and Improvement of Mathematical Models: Candidates will design and develop scalable pricing and sports trading models across live betting, pre-match betting, and customized bet creation scenarios.

  • Platform Development: The analyst will contribute to creating a robust platform capable of hosting and refining sports mathematical models to ensure real-time odds generation and model performance measurement.

  • Collaboration and Integration: Working closely with the trading team for pricing strategies and managing betting markets is essential. The role also requires interaction with various teams, including Product and Risk teams, to enhance user experience and anticipate its effects.

  • Competitive Analysis and Research: Analysts will conduct ongoing research to refine models and betting methodologies, ensuring the company stays competitive in the industry.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field is highly preferred, although a Ph.D. is also advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, probability theory, and Bayesian methodologies.
