Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Driving the test automation strategy across several products while working with distributed teams.
Conducting test automation for web apps and web services, which includes gathering requirements, reviewing architecture/specs, designing test cases, and bug reporting.
Designing, coding, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of applications.
Running automated and regression tests, analyzing results, and triaging bugs effectively.
Creating and enhancing the automation framework while collaborating with your team for load and performance testing implementation.
Required Skills
Ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 5 years of experience in UI test automation, particularly with Selenium, Webdriver, or Protractor.
A solid background in creating API or Web Services test automation using programming languages such as Java or C#.
Proficiency with source code control systems like Git or TFS/Azure DevOps.
Five or more years of hands-on coding experience in languages like Java, C#, Ruby, PHP, or Python, emphasizing object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with CI-CD/Build automation tools such as Jenkins and TFS is crucial. At least a year of experience in leading testing strategy across distributed teams is required.
Good understanding of SQL and relational database technology.
A grasp of the HTTP protocol and web applications is necessary.
Experience in an Agile SDLC environment is preferred.
Prior experience in implementing performance testing strategies and tools like JMeter.
Candidates should have the ability to create reliable and scalable test automation solutions and must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail and a sense of personal responsibility for the quality of one’s work are imperative.
