Job Overview

BruntWork is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to support its operations by identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for a variety of roles. The position is entirely remote, creating a flexible working environment. The role follows a full-time, Monday to Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM CST, including a one-hour unpaid break. As a Recruitment Specialist, you will play an essential role in supporting BruntWork's rapid growth while ensuring high-quality service standards for the residents of the properties managed by the organization.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Recruitment Specialist are broad and involve various aspects of recruitment:

  • Sourcing & Candidate Identification: Utilize a range of sourcing channels, including job boards like Indeed, professional networks, and social media, to identify candidates. You will also perform proactive searches employing Boolean search techniques and other sourcing tools.

  • Applicant Tracking System Management: Create and manage job postings in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) while ensuring accurate job descriptions and requirements. You will also maintain up-to-date candidate information throughout the recruitment process. Other tasks include processing approvals for offer letters, generating customizable offer letters, tracking acceptance rates, and managing counter-offers as needed.

  • Screening & Assessment: Evaluate resumes, conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidates’ fit, and facilitate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. You will also conduct reference checks and coordinate background verification processes.

  • Candidate Experience & Relationship Management: This role requires maintaining an excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. It involves clear communication regarding application status, guiding candidates through the interview process, and building long-term relationships with passive candidates for future job opportunities. Managing candidate expectations and negotiating offers is also part of this function.

Required Skills and Abilities

Candidates for the Recruitment Specialist role should possess a set of essential skills and qualities, including:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in recruiting through social media and professional networking platforms
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Strong customer service orientation focused on the candidate experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Familiarity with video interviewing platforms
  • Knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter and similar sourcing tools

Educational Background and Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar recruitment role
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
