Mentoring less experienced team members is also a key duty, along with supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes.

Additionally, the manager will drive process improvements in the quote-to-cash workflow to elevate operational efficiency and maintain accounting records’ integrity. Cross-functional collaboration is fundamental, ensuring contract compliance and promoting policy development, automation, and process refinements.

This role is also charged with providing audit support and participating in ad hoc technical research and projects. Moreover, the manager evaluates and leads revenue testing related to company initiatives to understand revenue and financial system impacts.

Finally, the role involves partnering with Enterprise Apps and Business Transformation teams to bolster financial system enhancements actively.

About the Role’s Designation

The Revenue Accounting Manager position is designated remote, allowing for a high degree of flexibility. The employee is not obligated to work frequently from an office, primarily operating from a designated remote location. It is important to note that job designations at DocuSign differ between In Office, Hybrid, or Remote, contingent upon specific business needs and permissible by local law.

Qualifications and Skills

Basic qualifications include holding a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and an active CPA or equivalent qualification. The ideal candidate will have over eight years of combined experience in public accounting and corporate revenue accounting roles, along with advanced understanding and implementation of revenue recognition guidance for enterprise software and SaaS arrangements under ASC 606.
