Job Description

The Scientist in Statistical Programming will be responsible for several key tasks, including:

  • Supporting statistical programming analysis and reporting deliverables for global pharmacokinetic (PK) modeling and simulations. This includes working across various therapeutic areas.

  • Developing and executing modeling-ready datasets and reporting outputs, which encompasses tables, listings, and figures, as well as submission deliverables aligned to regulatory standards.

  • Collaborating with modelers, statisticians, and other stakeholders to gather and document user requirements effectively.

  • Programmatically synthesizing preclinical data into analysis-ready formats from diverse data sources and producing output relevant for regulatory submissions.

  • Ensuring the quality of deliverables by adhering to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and good programming practices.

  • Engaging in validation tasks and maintaining healthy collaboration with outsource partners to optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications

The minimum educational requirement for this role is:

  • A Master’s degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in any of these fields along with at least two years of SAS programming experience specifically in a clinical trial environment is also acceptable.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate must possess several core competencies, including:

  • Proficiency in SAS programming, specifically with data steps, procedures, SAS/MACRO, and SAS/GRAPH.
  • A solid understanding of developing analysis and reporting deliverables for Research & Development (R&D) projects, including data, analyses, tables, and graphics.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical development processes.
  • Knowledge of CDISC SDTM and ADaM standards is crucial.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to new programming techniques and data structures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • A willingness to work in an exploratory environment and an interest in personal career development by accepting tasks that involve greater challenges and responsibilities.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is between $94,300.00 and $148,500.00, dependent on various factors including but not limited to relevant education, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. The compensation package also includes eligibility for annual bonuses and long-term incentives.
