Environmental Strategy & Governance:
Develop and refine corporate environmental policies, ensuring compliance with regulations while aligning with enterprise sustainability goals.
Regulatory Compliance Oversight:
Ensures adherence to regulations across various sites, catering to both federal and state guidelines while also addressing international environmental standards. This includes navigating complex laws surrounding PFAS and Extended Producer Responsibility.
Environmental Reporting & Permitting:
Oversee submissions concerning environmental reports to maintain compliance, including air and hazardous waste permits. Preventive risk management is critical for timely submissions.
Audit, Risk & Compliance Assurance:
Lead environmental audits and compliance assessments across the organization, identifying gaps and implementing best practices.
Legacy Site Management & Remediation:
Strategically manage and remediate legacy environmental liabilities, working with external consultants for effective risk mitigation while ensuring compliance.
ISO 14001 & Environmental Management Systems:
Take charge of the corporate environmental management system aligned with ISO 14001 standards to maintain certification and satisfy customer and regulatory expectations.
ESG & Sustainability Integration:

Metrics, Data & Reporting:

Cross-Functional Leadership:
Engage multiple departments—operations, engineering, legal—to integrate environmental responsibilities into broad business processes and projects.
Contractor & Consultant Oversight:
Select and manage external environmental consultants to ensure a standard of quality while ensuring cost efficiency in the provision of services.
Regulatory & Agency Interface:
Act as a liaison for the company during inspections and negotiations with environmental regulatory agencies, handling permits and enforcement matters.
