Opportunity Summary

Tucows is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst, a position that is fundamental to the accounting operations of Tucows Domains, specifically focusing on Tucows Registry Services. This role is integral to the organization as it contributes to critical processes such as monthly account reconciliations, revenue recognition, and collaboration with various teams, such as customer service and engineering.

The selected candidate will be expected to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment contributing hands-on to the success of the month-end close process. Furthermore, they may participate in special projects across the broader Tucows organization, enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

The day-to-day responsibilities of this position are divided among various critical functions, which include:

  • 35%: Provide daily accounting support for key domain operations, focusing on Tucows Registry Services.

  • 35%: Lead month-end close activities, including accounts receivable (AR) reconciliations, revenue accruals, and bank reconciliations.

  • 10%: Manage cash management and treasury functions, ensuring liquidity and operational efficiency.

  • 10%: Establish trial balances and AR ledgers for newly acquired entities, facilitating a smooth accounting transition.

  • 5%: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer service on billing-related inquiries, ensuring clarity and rapid response.

  • 5%: Support external audits, including quarterly reviews and year-end deliverables, providing transparency and compliance.
