Job Overview

Figma is seeking a Senior Manager, Payroll Compliance & International Operations to join their team in Australia. This full-time role is pivotal for managing and scaling Figma's international payroll operations and compliance programs across the APAC and EMEA regions. Responsibilities

In this role, you'll engage in various responsibilities critical to payroll operations, including but not limited to the following:

1. Lead Payroll Operations: Manage payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring that processing is both accurate and compliant.
2. Partner with Global Vendors: Work closely with global payroll vendors as well as local providers to resolve operational issues and enhance service quality.
3. Compliance Management: Oversee payroll compliance activities, which includes maintaining compliance calendars and ensuring statutory requirements and deadlines are consistently met.
4. Regulatory Monitoring: Keep an eye on legislative and regulatory changes across countries, assessing potential impacts and escalating risks to leadership when necessary.
5. Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by orchestrating necessary documentation and strengthening audit-readiness processes.
6. Process Improvement: Standardize and enhance payroll processes, controls, and reporting to bolster scalability and operational consistency.
7. Team Leadership: Lead a distributed team and ensure effective collaboration across various departments like People, HRIS, Accounting, and Legal.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be a strong candidate for the Senior Manager role, applicants should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing global or multi-country payroll operations.
• In-depth expertise in international payroll compliance, particularly within APAC and EMEA jurisdictions.
• Proven experience leading distributed teams and collaborating with global payroll vendors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll controls, audit requirements, and SOX-compliant processes.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex operational priorities while working effectively within cross-functional teams.
