Role Summary

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in the B2B tech industry is required, particularly in a role focused on field marketing with direct interaction with sales teams.


  • Strong creative skills with a knack for innovative thinking; the ideal candidate will have fresh ideas and a proven playbook for trying new tactics.

  • Data-driven decision making is essential. You should be comfortable utilizing data to inform results and adapt strategies accordingly.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a marketing budget, ensuring proper allocation of resources to various initiatives.

  • Extensive experience in coordinating events, including both third-party and owned events.

  • Willingness to travel if required, in compliance with GitLab’s travel policies.

  • Excellent communication and writing skills are necessary, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively across various media.

  • Proficiency in tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, and Google Workspace is critical.
