Job Role

The position open is for a Senior Migration Consultant with a focus on Research & Development (R&D). This role will primarily be involved in guiding customer migration implementations, specifically pertaining to Veeva Vault R&D applications and the Vault Platform. The Senior Migration Architect will lead project teams and will be integral in delivering migration solutions, ensuring that they align with best practices for data and document content migration.

Responsibilities

The Senior Migration Consultant will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Providing subject matter expertise on the Vault R&D migration implementation process.
• Advising clients on the extract, transform, and load (ETL) process, crucial for successful data migration.
• Mentoring Veeva Data Migration Specialists, sharing knowledge about migration activities and best practices.
• Contributing to the Professional Services knowledge base, helping to build a robust migration program.
• Assisting with project scoping estimates for the Vault R&D product suite.

Required Skills

To qualify for this role, candidates should meet the following essential requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in document/content migration with enterprise content management systems, such as Documentum, OpenText, Box, or SharePoint.
• 7+ years of experience with database migration within enterprise software systems like SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, and others.
• Proven experience in customer-facing technical consulting, particularly dealing with senior management and executives.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in mentoring team members.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Candidates must be located in and authorized to work in the United States or Canada.

Nice to Have

While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be a plus:

• Experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry.
• Familiarity with Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, or Safety processes.
• Project management experience related to enterprise software implementations.

Compensation

This position has a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $185,000. The exact salary will depend on individual experience and geographic location.
