The Role: Senior QA Engineer

Sparkrock is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to bring innovation and strength to its QA processes. This role is central to evolving Sparkrock's ERP products tailored for non-profits and educational institutions. The position involves enhancing testing strategies and adopting advanced automation tools, requiring close collaboration with teams in development, product management, and operations.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a substantial background in QA with comprehensive experience in automation. Candidates should be detail-oriented, eager to explore new testing methodologies, and thrive in a dynamic environment focused on continuous improvement and experimentation.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior QA Engineer will undertake a variety of essential tasks to ensure the quality and reliability of Sparkrock's software solutions:

• Business Requirements Analysis: Understanding testing needs through business requirements and aligning them with organizational goals.
• Test Design: Creating test cases and strategies to comprehensively cover all functionalities and scenarios.
• Test Planning: Scheduling testing cycles to align with development phases and project timelines.
• Test Execution: Conducting manual and automated tests to identify issues or bugs.
• Test Automation: Developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Test Results Reporting: Compiling test results and providing insights for software improvement.
• Defects Management: Tracking defects from identification through resolution.
• QA Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensuring the testing environment and tools are fully functional.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should have over five years of experience in QA automation, particularly with ERP and Enterprise SaaS solutions. Experience working in Agile teams is essential, along with a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields like Computer Science or Software Engineering. Professional certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are also recommended.

Experience with Microsoft Business Central and knowledge of writing AL-based tests for this platform are considered advantageous.
