Job Description

The position of (Senior) Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/x) is pivotal within the Scalable team. The chosen candidate will closely collaborate with product managers and developers to establish effective test strategies that encompass all layers of mobile software design. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and refining the testing processes and continuous integration pipeline for both Android and iOS teams.
• Creating detailed strategic test plans and actionable bug reports, following up on reviews, and executing various types of tests including functional, regression, and sanity tests.

Skill Requirements

A successful candidate for this role should meet the following qualifications:

Educational Background:

• A university degree (B.Sc.) in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Strong background in writing test cases and test plans which is essential for this role.
• Familiarity with Android Studio, Android Emulator, ADB, Xcode, and iPhone devices.
• Proficiency in utilizing Git/Github for version control.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira.
• Familiarity with the entire lifecycle of defect logging and closure.
• Adeptness in an Agile/Scrum environment, which necessitates adapting testing strategies accordingly.

Language Proficiency:

• Very good command of the English language, as the team functions in an international English-speaking context.

Desirable Skills: Having experience with programming languages such as Swift (for iOS) and Kotlin (for Android) is a plus. Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks, understanding of performance testing, and skills in commercial test management tools like XRay or TestRail will give candidates a competitive edge.
