As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will undertake several key responsibilities:
Develop and maintain testing-related documentation, such as test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports, to assess quality and risks.
Collaborate with the automation group to implement automated features to enhance regression coverage.
Utilize your technical expertise in discussions regarding architecture and code during design and implementation reviews.
Conduct various QA tests and verify outcomes within designated schedules.
Act as a mentor for junior teammates and provide technical leadership where needed.
Participate in improving existing processes in collaboration with QA management.
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:
A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science/Applications, or a relevant field.
Experience coding in Java and/or mobile languages.
Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and approaches, including both manual and automated testing techniques.
Experience writing and automating test cases for various testing types, such as boundary tests, negative tests, and compatibility tests.
Strong curiosity and a capability to quickly learn new technologies combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with programming languages like Python or other object-oriented languages.
Familiarity with Cypress, SQL, and Atlassian products like Jira and Confluence.
Previous work experience in health sciences or life sciences, particularly within a SaaS environment.
Experience in mobile application testing and development for both Android and iOS platforms.
The base salary for this role ranges from $90,000 to $165,000 CAD. The exact salary will depend on individual qualifications, experience, and other contributions. Employees may also qualify for additional compensation options, including variable bonuses or stock bonuses, depending on performance and individual agreements.
