As a Senior Quality Engineer, your responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:
Creating testing-related documentation: Documenting test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports to assess quality and associated risk.
Automation engagement: Collaborating closely with the automation team to automate features and improve regression coverage.
Conducting QA tests: Executing quality assurance tests and verifying outcomes within the designated schedules and timelines.
Collaboration with teams: Working alongside software engineers, product managers, and other QA testers in an Agile team environment.
Technical leadership: Providing guidance to junior teammates and influencing architectural and technical decisions that promote product quality.
Staying updated: Enhancing your knowledge of code coverage tools and metrics and contributing to implementing new processes across the organization.
To excel in the position of Senior Quality Engineer at Veeva Systems, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
Experience in coding with Java and/or other mobile languages.
Understanding of Software QA methodologies, tools, and approaches (including both black box and automated testing) within a software firm that operates on short-release cycles.
Proven track record of writing test cases that include sanity and in-depth testing, covering aspects like boundary, negative, compatibility, and concurrency tests.
Relevant work experience in software development and/or software test automation.
Curiosity and the capability to rapidly learn new technologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Past leadership or mentorship experience will be advantageous for career progression.
While not mandatory, the following skills can set candidates apart:
Experience with programming languages like Java and Python.
Familiarity with testing tools like Cypress and Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence.
Knowledge of industry-best practices for software development, particularly in a SaaS environment.
Experience in Mobile Testing and Automation.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $165,000 CAD. This range is aligned with local regulations and represents a potential base salary for the role. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s unique qualifications and experience.
