This role is dedicated to working on the Veeva Vault, which is a rapidly expanding SaaS platform in the life sciences domain covering pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices. The Senior Quality Engineer will join the Quality Assurance and Release Engineering team and will focus on functional and automation testing to guarantee that the software meets the high standards set for quality and reliability.
In this position, you will:
Create testing-related documentation such as test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports to evaluate quality and associated risks.
Automate features in collaboration with the automation team to enhance regression coverage.
Assist in triaging automation results and provide technical expertise in quality assurance methodologies.
Conduct QA tests and verify outputs according to established schedules and timelines.
Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other QA testers within an Agile team environment.
Engage in discussions regarding architectural and code levels during design and implementation reviews.
Offer technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to maintaining a high standard of quality in product development.
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science/Applications, or a related field.
Proficiency in coding with Java and/or other mobile languages.
A comprehensive understanding of Software QA methodologies, including both black box and automated testing in environments with short-release cycles.
Experience in writing and automating test cases, covering a range of testing techniques.
Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies quickly.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Leadership and mentorship experience.
Candidates with the following skills are at an advantage:
Familiarity with programming languages like Python and development frameworks like Cypress.
Experience utilizing Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence.
Background in software development within a SaaS environment.
Knowledge of mobile application testing and development on platforms including Android and iOS.
The base pay for this role ranges from $90,000 to $165,000, with actual salaries dependent on individual qualifications, experience, and contributions. This competitive salary is aligned with local regulations and aims to attract highly skilled professionals.
Apart from the base salary, there may be additional compensation such as variable bonuses and/or stock bonuses making the compensation package potentially more lucrative.
