Responsibilities

Candidates for the Senior Regulatory Counsel position will face a diverse set of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Cross-functional collaboration to identify, analyze, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks while maximizing commercial opportunities related to new product launches.
• Provide proactive and solution-focused legal advice and regulatory guidance to various stakeholders within the organization to ensure compliance with legal obligations and user needs.
• Actively participate in the development of the regulatory advisory functions within the organization.
• Represent BingX in discussions on various matters with regulators, financial partners, users, and other external audiences.
• Review, update, and draft user agreements and other external-facing documentation, leveraging external advisors where necessary.
• Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to assess applicable regulations and set company standards.
• Review and advise on the development of marketing and user content to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Select and manage external legal counsels as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Approximately 9 years of post-qualification experience, predominantly either in-house or in a reputable law firm with a focus on crypto regulation, payments law, or similar fields in financial services.
• Expertise in navigating financial services regulations and licensing processes.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Capable of providing timely, concise, and business-centric legal advice on payments and consumer protection laws.
• Experience in working in international or cross-border regulatory environments.
• Proven ability to offer legal guidance on product design, modification, and geographical expansion.
• Strong interpersonal skills paired with organizational capabilities to effectively manage multiple assignments and competing priorities.
• A creative thinker with problem-solving skills and the capability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with MS Office, including proficiency in Chinese language word processing.
