Establishing practices for effectively integrating AI tools in the development lifecycle.
Mentoring team members by promoting a systems-thinking approach to complex problems.
Challenging established conventions and consistently seeking more effective solutions.
Translating business requirements into clear and actionable technical solutions.
Candidates should possess the following abilities and qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in software engineering with a robust ability to adapt across various technology stacks.
A comprehensive, holistic systems-thinking approach to tackling technical challenges.
Strong understanding of software architecture principles and practices.
Experience working with AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot and others, and successfully implementing them in product development.
Proficient in Java and the Spring ecosystem, along with the ability to quickly adapt to new frameworks.
Expertise in the design and achievement of resilient, scalable distributed systems.
Deep understanding of API design principles and experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka preferred).
Demonstrated experience with containerization and orchestration tech, notably in cloud deployment environments, preferably Azure.
Proven capability to manage technical debt against business priorities effectively.
Strong foundation in SQL with experience in database design, especially with PostgreSQL.
A strong problem-solving mindset that is effective in navigating through ambiguous scenarios.
While not mandatory, the following additional experiences will enhance a candidate's application:
Experience with Kotlin and functional programming paradigms.
Exposure to diverse programming languages and technology stacks.
Familiarity with API specification tools like TypeSpec or OpenAPI.
Experience in the fintech sector and an understanding of the impact of AI/ML on both production and development processes.
History of mentoring engineers in the systems-thinking approach.
Contributions to open-source projects or participation in technical communities may also be beneficial.
