Primary Responsibilities

The SharePoint Administrator/Data Management Specialist will work mainly on data integrity, process automation, and dashboard requirements. The responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the ePROS team in managing data and business process applications that underpin research oversight and education activities.
  • Configuring and maintaining the ePROS SharePoint site, while also suggesting improvements to support business needs.
  • Developing PowerApps solutions and automating business tasks utilizing Power Automate. Key tasks include notification triggers, data collection, validation, and facilitating approval workflows.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements for data analytics dashboards, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet the needs of both leadership and various stakeholders.
  • Conducting ongoing data quality checks across ePROS systems, identifying risks and taking corrective actions to ensure data reliability.
  • Analyzing data for trends and anomalies, and suggesting improvements to data collection and distribution to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Working closely with ePROS leadership to ensure that data solutions are aligned with VA and ORD standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should hold the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, data analytics, computer science, business, or a related field.
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience in data management or business process automation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, particularly SharePoint site administration, and Power Platform tools such as PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify data trends and quality issues, and a commitment to data integrity.
  • Capability to work independently in a remote environment, meeting multiple priorities and deadlines.

Desired Qualifications

For better chances of being considered, applicants with the following experiences are preferred:

  • Previous experience with VA, VHA, DoD, or other federal healthcare/research environments.
  • Experience in developing functional specifications for dashboards and reports.
  • Familiarity with best practices in dashboard UX/UI design and user-centered information display.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
