The position available is for a Social Media Intern at Our National Conversation (ONC), a company dedicated to reducing partisanship and promoting effective solutions to America’s challenges. The Social Media Intern will play a critical role in upholding ONC's mission by developing a robust online presence. The intern’s tasks will include:

The intern may also have the opportunity to become the face of one or more of ONC's social media platforms, should they wish to take on that responsibility.
This is a remote position, meaning that all work will be conducted over communication tools such as Zoom and Slack. Interns must be comfortable coordinating and interacting within a digital workspace. Clear and consistent communication is emphasized, particularly during remote interactions.
Candidates must be prepared to commit to the internship until at least the end of the Spring Semester, which is August 30, 2025. Extensions beyond this date are typically available based on performance, enabling interns to gain extended experience if they demonstrate competence and reliability during their tenure.
To qualify for this position, candidates are expected to possess the following skills and qualifications:
Educational Background: Current or recent students pursuing a degree in Digital Media, Media Studies, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related fields are preferred.
Writing Skills: Exceptional writing capabilities in English are a must, ensuring the production of high-quality content.
Social Media Experience: Familiarity and experience with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, etc.) is crucial.
Canva Knowledge: Experience with Canva is preferred for creating visually appealing content.
Communication Skills: Candidates should be responsive and effective communicators, with strong verbal skills being a plus.
Remote Work Capability: Ability to independently manage time and responsibilities in a remote working environment is key, allowing for meeting deadlines and participation in mandatory meetings.
Google Workspace Familiarity: Preferred experience with Google Workspace tools, which may be used for collaboration and project management.
Meeting Participation: Interns must attend weekly organization-wide meetings as well as weekly social media team discussions to remain aligned with company goals and updates.
