In this position, you will be an essential part of the AI team, responsible for all aspects of data collection that supports model training operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Discovering new sources of audio data and integrating them into the ingestion pipeline.
Operating and extending the cloud infrastructure, specifically on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), managing resources through Terraform.
Collaborating effectively with AI Scientists to enhance cost and throughput efficiency while maintaining high-quality data.
Developing a roadmap in conjunction with the AI Team and Speechify Leadership to influence upcoming products that will benefit both consumers and enterprises.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
An educational background: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in software development.
Proficiency in bash/Python scripting within Linux environments.
Familiarity with Docker and concepts related to Infrastructure-as-Code as well as experience with a major Cloud provider (preferably GCP).
Knowledge of web crawlers and workflows for large-scale data processing would be advantageous.
Strong multitasking abilities with the capability to adapt to shifting priorities and changing environments.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
