Job Role

The Solutions Engineer will play a critical role in the successful implementation of HeartFlow's solutions within hospital and clinical settings. This position is particularly suited for individuals who have a strong grasp of hospital networks, protocols, and interfaces, and are acutely aware of the risks pertaining to patient privacy and data protection. Main responsibilities include working closely with customer clinical and engineering resources to deploy solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing infrastructures and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through the implementation process of HeartFlow’s SaaS non-invasive diagnostic technology.
• Serve as a resource regarding HeartFlow’s technology, network protocols, security measures, and HIPAA requirements related to medical imaging data transfer over the Internet.
• Aid the adoption of the FFRCT product by addressing customer inquiries and issues in an informed manner.
• Share knowledge and insights with the global Field Engineering team to contribute to group effectiveness.
• Ensure issues reported by customers are fully documented and resolved promptly, updating the knowledge base as necessary.
• Communicate customer feedback into HeartFlow’s Customer Relationship Management system to help drive improvements within the technology.

Required Skills

Candidates for the Solutions Engineer position must possess a combination of both technical and interpersonal skills:

• Healthcare IT knowledge, including familiarity with HL7, clinical workflows, PACS, DICOM, HIPAA regulations, and protections for PHI (Protected Health Information).

• Technical skills such as:

  
  • Linux experience is crucial, including shell scripting and troubleshooting services and logs.
  • Proficiency in networking, especially regarding troubleshooting IP and connectivity issues.
  • Understanding of data protection and encryption, in addition to knowledge of web services and certificates.
  • Experience with VMware in deploying and troubleshooting virtual machines.

• Educational requirements include an Engineering or B.S. in Computer Science. Relevant experience is essential, including at least 2 years of DICOM and/or PACS experience and 2+ years working in a healthcare environment. Familiarity with virtualization technologies and support for large-scale websites or web-based products is preferred.

• Customer-facing skills are particularly important, as the role entails significant interaction with clients.

Work Environment and Conditions
