Conducting Certification Reviews: Assess applicants' adherence to specific certification criteria through various methods, including Launch Calls, Desk Reviews, and Virtual Reviews. The administrator will make recommendations based on these evaluations, ensuring that certifications are granted where appropriate.
Collaboration: Engage in a partnership approach during evaluations, employing strategies of consultation, coaching, and collaboration with applicants to foster improvement in adherence to standards.
Team Management: Oversee the recruitment and management of volunteer Certification Evaluation Workgroups (CEW), which assist in guiding certification decisions by providing recommendations and appraisals.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with various internal teams to refine certification programs, ensuring they align with quality standards set by the organization.
To be effective in this role, candidates should possess several key skills and qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field is required. Candidates with an advanced degree may have a competitive edge.
At least 8 to 12 years of relevant work experience, which should include clinical hospital experience and progressive leadership or supervisory roles.
Proven experience in working within high-pressure environments, combined with strong computer skills and familiarity with databases and document processing.
The ability to evaluate educational needs and devise effective strategies is essential.
Must stay updated on health care trends and maintain knowledge that supports compliance with certification standards.
A willingness to travel up to 15% for work responsibilities, including overnight stays.
Though not required, the following experiences will enhance a candidate's application:
Background in quality improvement and data analysis would be advantageous.
Previous program development, design, and maintenance experience will also be beneficial for this role.
