Role Details

As a Talent Manager at Kunai, you will play a crucial role in shaping and supporting the talent agenda within the organization. This position is pivotal for designing and implementing vital career development experiences across the entire company. Your daily tasks will encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed at optimizing team performance and ensuring that the workforce is effectively managed.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Managing components of talent's career portfolios by effectively prioritizing and coordinating tasks and ensuring efficiency in operations.

  • Maintaining oversight of a talent pool which includes tracking contract dates and strategically prioritizing resource allocation (known as the bench).

  • Conducting weekly search meetings with hiring managers to stay organized, provide updates, and hold team members accountable for action items.

  • Overseeing timecards, Paid Time Off (PTO) requests, conducting weekly one-on-one sessions, and facilitating annual performance reviews.

  • Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and encourage accountability within teams.

  • Continuously seeking out ways to simplify procedures and enhance process efficiencies that benefit the onboarding experience and staff development.

  • Developing and managing comprehensive plans, systems, and processes that maximize performance outcomes.

  • Collaborating with Account Leads to share insights regarding opportunities and challenges related to talent growth and client satisfaction.



Expectations

As a Talent Manager, you will be expected to:

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and trends related to talent management. Regular assessments will help identify areas for improvement.

  • Cultivate and sustain relationships that ensure a strong pipeline of talent that meets the evolving needs of the organization.

  • Establish and maintain a profound understanding of client departments and their operational mechanisms.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in people management, showcasing proficiency in leading and empowering teams.

  • Familiarity with project management tools that facilitate effective workflow management.

  • Experience utilizing various office and calendar applications to maintain organization and efficiency in daily tasks.

Desired Skills

While not mandatory, the following skills are highly desirable:

  • Experience with Greenhouse, a popular recruiting software.

  • Familiarity with productivity tools such as Airtable, Asana, and Google Workspace.

  • Proven track record as a client partner or account manager, demonstrating the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Previous experience in designing and implementing comprehensive onboarding experiences that truly embrace employee engagement.
