• Chairing an internal technical accounting forum to discuss and align on areas of accounting estimates and judgments.

• Acting as the dedicated technical accounting partner for the business, translating complex standards into actionable business advice for stakeholders.

• Leading technical dialogues with external auditors, preparing robust accounting papers for justification of the financial positions reported by Monzo.

• Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and advisors.

Required Skills

Monzo is looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA).

• 5+ years of experience in accounting policy, technical accounting, or experience with a Big 4 accounting advisory firm.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly in areas such as IFRS 9, with a preference for candidates coming from a banking background.
