A strong technical foundation in cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), distributed systems, and DevOps/SRE practices.
Proficiency in coding with tools such as Python or another modern programming language, including experience in developing production-quality tools and automation.
A passion for mentorship and developing team members, demonstrating care for the team’s growth and performance.
A record of establishing or scaling reliability engineering practices successfully.
Familiarity with modern observability stacks (like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK).
A strong inclination towards automation, repeatability, and operational excellence.
Bonus: Experience with compliance or high-availability requirements.
The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility between remote and in-office work, with candidates expected to be located within a commutable distance to offices in Waterloo and Ottawa.
