Job Description

CyberArk is in search of a Senior Technical Writer to join their Documentation team. In this role, the primary responsibility will be to document CyberArk’s Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) capabilities. Candidates will closely collaborate with diverse teams, including product managers, engineers, and UX professionals, to create engaging, clear, and accurate content tailored for enterprise users.

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing high-quality content for various audiences including administrators, implementers, and end-users, focusing on topics such as installation, configuration, deployment, and usage of IGA features.
  • Documenting APIs, integration workflows, and identity lifecycle processes essential for operational efficiency.
  • Creating, editing, and refining embedded user interface text (microcopy).
  • Collaborating with the Agile product and engineering teams to ensure documentation meets the fast-paced needs of a dynamic development environment.
  • Mentoring junior writers and setting exemplary standards for technical communication best practices.
  • Contributing to broader team initiatives that aim to enhance tooling, automate repetitive tasks, evolve style guides, and develop better methodologies for documentation.
  • Ensuring that all content is well-structured, reusable, and optimized for search engines and AI consumption.
  • Adapting to taking on documentation tasks for adjacent security and identity products as business needs shift and evolve.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To qualify as a suitable candidate for the Senior Technical Writer position at CyberArk, the following skills and experiences are essential:

  • 5–10 years of experience in technical writing, specifically focused on documenting enterprise-level security or identity management software.
  • An aptitude for simplifying complex technical concepts for various audiences.
  • Proven expertise in documenting APIs and complex integrations that are critical in today's tech environment.
  • Experience using authoring and source control tools such as MadCap Flare, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong skills in planning, writing, reviewing, and delivering comprehensive documentation.
