Job Role: Technical Writer

Yopeso is actively seeking a Technical Writer to join its team and enhance its documentation processes. This role is perfect for individuals who are proactive and skilled in documentation development. The primary responsibility involves creating, maintaining, and organizing technical content that supports the development and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation Development & Maintenance

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including How-Tos, process descriptions, technical specifications, and release notes.
  • Ensure documentation tools are up-to-date, organized, and accessible, enabling ongoing development needs.

Content Management & Quality Assurance

  • Take ownership of the Confluence wiki, updating content while maintaining its structure and ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Regularly review and refine existing documentation to improve clarity, accuracy, and usability for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Investigative Research & Information Gathering

  • Work independently to gather missing or incomplete information by consulting with developers and conducting research.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to stay updated on product developments and ensure alignment with the latest software releases.

Support for Release Notes

  • Create, format, and publish release notes for software updates, clearly highlighting changes, fixes, and new features for end-users and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with product and development teams to ensure release notes are accurate and informative.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in technical writing, preferably in software or energy industries.
  • Familiarity with Confluence or similar wiki-based documentation platforms.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Confluence and content management systems, alongside a basic understanding of HTML or markup languages like Markdown is advantageous.
  • Excellent command of the English language, with a keen eye for grammar, clarity, and detail.
