Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role include a variety of tasks that are crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and development of communication technologies:

• Review and confirm that technical solutions align with business, regulatory, operational, cost, quality, and time-to-market requirements.
• Lead the development of technical platforms, shape project roadmaps, optimize technology use, and apply call-flow analysis and troubleshoot effectively.
• Participate in the end-to-end implementation of small to medium scale projects, coordinating with various stakeholders and aiding in the design, rollout, and maintenance of technical platforms and operational systems.
• Draft and review both functional and technical specifications, as well as Requests for Proposal (RFP) documents.
• Develop methodologies, procedures, and technical documentation that can be utilized by stakeholders including marketing, product management, and operational teams.
• Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure effective implementation of technical solutions.
• Provide exceptional support to both internal and external stakeholders in the technical domain, establishing credibility and trust in your expertise.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• An engineering degree in telecommunications and/or IT technology.
• A robust understanding of networks, telecommunications, and the IT environment.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience within a telecom or IT setting, demonstrating strong technical knowledge in protocols such as HTTP, SS7, Diameter, MAP, INAP, and GTP.
• Experience with SIM Applets, Over-The-Air (OTA) technology, eSIM, eUICC, SMDP/SMSR, and SMDP+. A broad understanding of the mobile core and familiarity with call flows would be advantageous.
• Proven expertise in designing and deploying comprehensive mobile core network solutions that include 4G LTE and 5G core networks in traditional and cloud-based environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with two or more mobile core components in 2G, 3G, and LTE such as P-GW/GGSN, HSS/HLR, or PCRF.
• Knowledge or experience in roaming, IoT/M2M, and an understanding of the MVNO/MVNE environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with the international carrier business is considered beneficial.
