Job Role

The Territory Manager, MCS - Missouri/Kansas/Iowa is primarily responsible for achieving sales targets set in the company’s Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) while effectively managing customer relationships within the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities

The Territory Manager will engage in several critical activities within their role:

  • Achieve specific sales targets through strategic planning and execution in line with the Sales Incentive Plan and organizational goals.
  • Provide a comprehensive understanding of the Abbott Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) system to assist in clinical cases.
  • Oversee business processes which include contract negotiation, customer complaints, monthly reporting, and expense reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively with various teams including Clinical, Market Development, Training, and the Customer Service team.
  • Conduct account assessments and utilize effective forecasting methodologies to inform sales strategies.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Regularly engage in sales call activities and maintain contact with current and prospective accounts in the territory.
  • Participate actively in the strategic, tactical planning process, contributing insights towards sales forecasts and budget submissions.
  • Monitor all related activities in the assigned geography, providing timely feedback to management and submitting formal offers when needed.
  • Engage in development opportunities at tradeshows and ensure timely, accurate reporting related to sales activity.
