Monitor AI/ML Models: Support the creation of capabilities for AI/ML applications, including model monitoring tools and automated jobs in Databricks.
Coordinate with IT: Engage with IT partners for the necessary hardware and software infrastructure, ensuring that solutions comply with UHG standards and align with broader AI/ML strategies.
The ideal candidate should possess a combination of experience and skills to thrive in this role. Required qualifications include:
5+ years of Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in consulting or proficiency in self-learning.
Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Proficiency in the healthcare industry gained through work in data science or advanced analytics roles.
Programming Skills: High-level programming capabilities in languages like Python or R.
Version Control: Familiarity with Git (e.g., GitHub) and knowledge of DevOps and agile methodologies.
Data Handling: Experience with various data types (databases, JSON, and unstructured data).
Cloud Technology: Skills in designing ETL and ML engineering pipelines, particularly in cloud environments such as Databricks and Snowflake.
Analytical Skills: Experience applying predictive analytics and machine learning to solve real-world business issues.
SQL Proficiency: Ability to write efficient SQL queries and use integrated development environments (IDEs) like Visual Studio.
Although not mandatory, the following preferred qualifications will enhance a candidate's profile:

The compensation package for the Principal Data Scientist role ranges from $110,200 to $188,800 annually, depending on local labor markets, experience, education, and other factors. In addition to a competitive base salary, employees will enjoy:
