Job Description

The Senior Network Engineer will be essential in supporting both data and voice networks systems at UnitedHealth Group. The position falls under the IT Infrastructure team and includes responsibilities such as:

Performing system administration and documentation.
Overseeing complex configuration and maintenance of voice and data network equipment.
Installing and supporting data and voice networks and related applications.
Documenting supported network systems according to established standards.
Collaborating with IT teams to develop integrated solutions.
Participating in planning and engineering of network and telecommunications systems.
Responsible for on-call support, which may require working outside regular hours.

Work Environment

The job is primarily remote, but requires the selected candidate to be in Minnesota or Wisconsin. The engineer may need to be onsite approximately 30% of the time as per business needs. On-call rotation is required, indicating the necessity for flexibility in working hours.

Required Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess:

At least 5 years of experience in network infrastructure and technology support.
Availability to work on-call and outside standard business hours as required.
The ability to travel to Allina sites as necessary.
Residency in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
