Key Responsibilities

As a Business Process Owner, the candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating complex processes and projects. The responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic customer-specific business process program plans that align with the enterprise strategy.
  • Leveraging experienced knowledge of the business to improve performance and deliver process solutions that are focused on end-users.
  • Handling process performance by developing control limits, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving collaboration to meet operational standards.
  • Identifying, owning, and executing process enhancements that align with compliance and operational risks.
  • Ensuring alignment and proactive communication between internal stakeholders and customers across all business processes.
  • Utilizing reporting, data, and analytics to inform stakeholders about performance metrics and operational efficiencies.
  • Leading solution development and providing mentorship and guidance to teams and business partners.

Required Skills

Candidates are expected to have a combination of education and experience that includes:

  • A Bachelor's degree or at least 4+ years of relevant experience which may substitute for formal education.
  • A minimum of 6+ years in business process execution, consulting, and/or process engineering.
  • Experience with quality management, process improvement methodologies, and documenting business requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Process Mapping and Modeling methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Business Process Management, or similar methodologies.
  • Ability to identify emerging risks stemming from changes in business and technology operations.

Additional qualifications that set candidates apart include:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the AML/BSA program.
  • Experience in system testing and reviewing test cases against documented requirements.
  • US military experience as a military member or through a military spouse/domestic partner is a plus.

Compensation

The salary range for this position at USAA is between $93,770 and $179,240. The actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience and the market data associated with the role's location. Bonus pay incentives may also be available based on individual performance and corporate performance metrics. As mentioned, USAA currently does not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
