Position Details

Job Role

As a Senior Product Designer at Vanta, your role will involve leading user-centric projects to enhance the experiences of users utilizing the platform. Team Structure

The selected candidate will report to the Director of Design within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Product Pillar. As part of this team, your primary goal will be aiding customers as they support multiple compliance frameworks, such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR. Additionally, you will have opportunities to innovate AI-driven features that facilitate better compliance management for customers.

Key Responsibilities

In your role, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

• Bringing a high level of visual and interaction design to your projects, ensuring engaging and intuitive user experiences.
• Developing a profound understanding of user needs and creating designs that resonate with them.
• Collaborating with subject matter experts to draft guidelines, enhancing user content and guidance within Vanta.
• Iterating design solutions based on user feedback and team collaboration.
• Utilizing system thinking practices to design cohesive user experiences across the product.
• Learning from your colleagues and contributing to a better understanding of how various product areas interlink.
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to translate designs into live implementations while ensuring seamless communication of your design rationale to stakeholders.
• Mentoring junior designers to enhance their design skills and understanding of best practices.

Required Skills

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• A minimum of 6 years working as a Product Designer, with relevant experience in B2B SaaS or equally complex domains.
• A comprehensive portfolio showcasing expertise in UI/UX design, system thinking, and high-quality visual craftsmanship.
• Proven experience in creating designs that are both inclusive and accessible.
• Proficiency in Figma, including skills in auto-layout, properties, and variables.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, necessary for collaborative efforts in a team environment.
• Experience developing thorough documentation for design components and an ability to lead and mentor other designers.
