Senior Manager of Deal Operations Overview

The Senior Manager of Deal Operations role is designed to accelerate deal cycles, close transactions, and maximize revenue for Go1. This managerial position involves partnership with the GTM organization to facilitate proposal building, pricing, quote generation, and opportunity management, aiming to craft profitable and compliant transactions.

Strategic Responsibilities

This role includes adding strategic value by identifying and addressing process inefficiencies and areas that require further enablement or definition. The Senior Manager works closely with multiple departments and the field sales team to ensure that deals are supported to the highest standard.

Interdepartmental Collaboration

Collaboration between sales, customer success, revenue operations, legal, and finance teams is crucial in this position. The manager acts as a proactive partner to the Sales organization for key deals and communicates the Sales perspective to the Revenue Operations team.

Key Functions and Duties

  • Scaling the Deal Desk operation in accordance with the company's growth.
  • Guiding sales on deals, including reviewing proposals/quotes, optimizing profitability, and ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Renewals management, including resolving complex customer issues and providing accurate forecasts.
  • Streamlining processes between various departments for efficient resolution.
  • Approving, rejecting, or escalating proposals based on in-depth analysis.
  • Presenting strategic deals to the management team for review.
  • Leading a deal team committee for commercial/strategic guidance on significant transactions.
  • Providing consultative guidance and identifying process improvements.
  • Coordinating with Sales Enablement to communicate any identified training issues.
  • Handling ad-hoc projects and analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in business/finance or a related field.
  • Over 6 years of experience in deal desk, sales, or Sales operations/Revenue Operations/Legal in a SaaS company.
  • Proficiency in SFDC, CPQ tools, and experience with multi-element contract structuring.
  • Strong data analysis, financial analysis, and proficiency in Excel and Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence cross-functionally.
  • Highly accountable with a dedication to problem-solving and customer service.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, in a dynamic environment within tight deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits

At Go1, the anticipated base pay for this role ranges between $130,000 to $150,000, subject to the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. The role also includes eligibility for an employee bonus plan and stock options.
