Field Applications Engineer (FAE) Opportunity at Anduril Industries

Anduril Industries, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is actively looking for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join their Flight Operations Team. The FAE will act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, providing support for the Altius program and other flight and testing events. This role is vital in maintaining and enhancing customer relationships through technical expertise, project integration, product demonstrations, and expertise during field exercises.

As an FAE, you would become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Anduril’s network stack and C2 data flows, contributing to better service by building essential technical documentation and optimizing network configurations. The role includes adapting Anduril’s standard products to fulfill specific customer needs and providing technical support that helps customers understand and utilize advanced features for complex use cases. This position requires frequent travel to conduct operations on various test sites and ranges.

Qualifications for FAE

To be successful, the FAE must maintain a U.S. Secret Security clearance and have a strong understanding of IP data, tactical network infrastructure, and communication systems. A solid knowledge of cloud computing concepts, mobile device management, and the expertise to integrate communication products with other systems is also vital. The role calls for the ability to analyze and troubleshoot network performance issues and to work both independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams. A candidate should be able to drive technical problems to clarity and resolution, often in austere environments and unstructured situations.

Preferred Experience

Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years of related experience and a track record in integrating and troubleshooting networked communications products. Experience with US Military and commercial specialty communications and tactical datalink products are highly desired. The ability to master technical systems, provide support in challenging contexts, and travel extensively, sometimes to remote regions, is fundamental for this role.

This is a golden opportunity for a specialist eager to apply their skills in a dynamic, real-world setting while working with cutting-edge technology in the field of UAV operations and communications.
