Propel, a mission-driven company, is seeking a People Operations professional to impact their start-up culture and empower low-income Americans with easier access to government benefits through modern technology. Propel's team, fondly known as Propellers, consists of 100 passionate individuals collaborating to support users in navigating the social safety net and financial services. This role is for someone eager to tackle new challenges in a start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will lead various strategic functions including:

  • Enhancing employee engagement and using survey data to drive initiatives.
  • Building and maintaining a strategic, inclusive culture within the company.
  • Coordinating company events to align with Propel's mission and goals.
  • Improving communication channels and streamlining information flow across the organization.
  • Taking on special projects and adapting to changing responsibilities as needed.

Requirements for the Role

Applicants should have:

  • At least 5+ years of experience with a background in People Operations at a start-up, preferably during a growth phase from 50 to 200 employees.
  • An approachable personality that builds trust and fosters a positive work environment.
  • Ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and execute tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills and an inclination to prioritize inclusivity.
  • Alignment with Propel's passionate mission to make a lasting impact on people's lives.
