Silvus is looking for a Sales Engineer with a Defense focus to collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and Business Development teams, providing customized solutions to customers. The role involves technical sales, product demonstrations, and influencing product development, reporting to the Director of Sales Engineering. The position is remote-eligible depending on the location, suitable for an entrepreneurial technologist who likes customer interaction, adventure, and travel.
The Sales Engineer will provide both pre-sales and post-sales support, become a product expert, prepare and conduct demonstrations, provide on-site technical support and training, troubleshoot issues, collect and analyze data for the development team, assist in product development, and engage in frequent travel for various sales activities.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, at least 2 years of experience in sales technical support, proficiency with RF instruments, willingness to travel, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
The ideal candidate should have a familiarity with Linux, TCP/IP protocols, IP radios/modems, RF and digital communication systems, and programming skills in languages like C/C++. Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills are essential.
