OfferUp is on the hunt for an experienced Data Engineer to develop its batch and near real-time data processing platforms. Familiarity with a range of open-source data infrastructure projects such as Airflow and Kafka is expected. Experience in building scalable data pipelines, real-time data streams, and in a cloud environment, preferably with AWS, is essential. Additional experience with operational tools like Terraform is highly valued.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required, and a Master’s degree is preferred. Fluency in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills is also required.
