Space Technical Operations Engineer Role at Anduril Industries

The Space Technical Operations Engineering team at Anduril Industries is seeking a technical operations engineer to efficiently prepare and support complex product installations in highly secure settings. This role is critical in facilitating seamless integration between product engineering and deployment operations to achieve mission success with Anduril’s advanced hardware-software capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

The engineer will collaborate with a product development team, contributing operations and engineering expertise to create and implement effective, reliable solutions. Responsibilities span across multiple areas, including:

  • Reliability engineering
  • Deployment at scale
  • Incident triage and root-cause analysis
  • Logistics
  • Software tooling and user-experience enhancements
  • Pre-deployment testing and configuration
  • Workflow automation and development of acceptance test procedures

Additionally, the role involves participation in customer demonstrations, events, and early deployments of Anduril’s space products, using these experiences to guide product development and train others on product deployment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be based in California and comfortable working with a distributed team. They must have extensive hands-on technical experience, problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate at the intersection of hardware, software, and operations. They need experience working with cross-functional teams, performing data-driven root cause analysis, training others, and maintaining a US Top Secret clearance. Other requirements include:

  • Proficiency with Linux based systems
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex software and serve as a subject matter expert
  • Execute maintenance tasks and respond swiftly to system failures
  • Knowledge of commercial satellite communications and RF network systems

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, DoD certifications, Cisco certification (CCNA), and experience with DoD data systems and communications will have an advantage. Military background, familiarity with military communication systems, encryption devices, and computer networking are also desirable. Holding a current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is preferred.
