The Security Architect will spearhead security operations at PKH. This role encompasses the creation of security strategies for internal operations, Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, and public cloud infrastructures. Critical to this position is the management of incident response planning and coordination with managed services partners.
Responsibilities include communicating the importance of IT security to varied audiences, ensuring compliance with security standards such as NIST, and monitoring the audit process outcomes. The Security Architect maintains security documentation, prepares reports, and manages incident responses. This role also involves providing situational awareness to senior leadership and ensuring security principles align with the organization's objectives. Collaboration with colleagues, managing service demands, and performing miscellaneous duties as needed are also part of the job.
The ideal candidate has over 8 years of experience in technology domains and at least 5 years in organizational risk management. Experience in higher education and business continuity plans is valuable. A background in cybersecurity, privacy principles, and knowledge of threat landscapes is required. Personal traits include being a self-starter, exhibiting strong project management skills, and possessing a passion for leveraging technology to enhance business performance. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
The Security Architect role offers an annual salary between $140,000 and $155,000. Although the position is remote, candidates should be based in North Carolina.
